Description We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Test Engineer specializing in Functional & Automation Testing (Selenium). This role involves validating business requirements, ensuring functional accuracy, conducting end-to-end and UAT testing, and automating regression suites for a seamless digital experience across e-commerce platforms. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and cross-functional groups to deliver high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities Perform end-to-end functional testing of e-commerce modules including browsing, cart, checkout, payments, and order tracking. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders prior to release. Identify defects, log them in defect tracking tools, and collaborate with developers for resolution. Validate integrations with external systems such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and logistics tools. Create, execute, and maintain functional and automated test cases, scenarios, and regression suites using Selenium. Participate in release validation, smoke testing, and defect verification. Design and implement automated regression tests with Selenium WebDriver Maintain traceability matrices linking business requirements to test coverage. Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and prepare documentation (BRDs, FSDs, UAT scripts). Translate business workflows into functional and automated test cases. Ensure test coverage across diverse user journeys and personas, mapping business flows into testable cases. Prepare detailed test summary reports, defect metrics, and release readiness documents. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, demos, retrospectives), ensuring QA readiness and process improvement. Support evidence-based validation and provide actionable insights for quality Skills & Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 2 - 4 years of QA experience, preferably in e-commerce platforms. In-depth understanding of functional testing for popular e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce, WooCommerce, Magento, or custom systems). Proven experience with Selenium for functional and automated testing (Java/Python/C#). Familiarity with API testing, data validation, and system integration workflows. Strong skills in writing and managing test cases, BRDs, and UAT documentation. Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and user experience. Knowledge of defect management and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.). Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Skills Exposure to automation for mobile applications (using Appium, etc.). Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing tools. Understanding of performance test tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. (ref:hirist.tech)
