Growth Reporting to: Growth Lead / Product Manager

About the Role: We are looking for a Retention Marketing Executive who will own user lifecycle engagement and drive repeat usage, customer loyalty, and long-term revenue growth.


This role is ideal for someone who understands user behavior, loves data, and can build automated journeys that improve activation, repeat transactions, and reduce churn.


You will work closely with Product, CRM, Ops, and Analytics teams to design and execute retention strategies across multiple channels.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lifecycle & CRM Campaign Management Plan and execute lifecycle campaigns (Onboarding, Activation, Repeat, Reactivation, Winback). 

Build and manage automated journeys via CRM tools (e.g., WebEngage / MoEngage / Clevertap). 

Execute campaigns across Email, Push, WhatsApp, SMS, and In-app notifications. 

Own campaign calendar and communication frequency strategy.

2. Segmentation & Personalization Define user cohorts (new users, repeat users, high-value users, dormant users, etc.). 

Build behavioral segmentation based on transaction frequency, value, and recency. 

Create personalized messaging to improve CTR, conversion, and LTV.

3. Retention Strategy & Optimization Analyze drop-offs in user funnel and propose engagement strategies. 

Design experiments (A/B tests) to improve open rates, CTR, and repeat transactions. 

Monitor churn metrics and build reactivation flows.

4. Data & Reporting Track key retention KPIs:Repeat Rate DAU/MAU Cohort Retention LTV Churn Rate  

Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports. Extract insights and recommend improvements backed by data.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Product team to align engagement strategy with new feature launches. Coordinate with Design team for creatives and messaging. 


Required Skills & Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in CRM / Retention / Lifecycle Marketing. 

Experience with marketing automation tools (WebEngage, Clevertap, MoEngage, etc.). 

Strong understanding of funnels, cohorts, and user lifecycle metrics. 


Basic SQL or data interpretation skills preferred. 


Strong copywriting skills for push/email communication. 

An analytical mindset with an experimentation approach.


Good to Have Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or transactional products. 


Experience managing high-frequency transactional communication. Understanding of referral and coupon-based retention mechanics.
