Job Title: South L&D Head – Retail

Job Summary
The South L&D Head – Retail will lead the Learning & Development function across the South region, driving training strategy, capability building, and performance enhancement for retail teams. The role is responsible for developing impactful learning initiatives, improving sales and customer experience, and ensuring consistent training standards across all retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the regional learning and development strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead onboarding, product, sales, customer service, and leadership training programs across South India.
- Design and enhance training content, learning journeys, and digital learning initiatives.
- Build a strong learning culture that supports employee growth and business performance.
Performance & Capability Development
- Partner with Retail Operations and HR to identify capability gaps and implement targeted development programs.
- Coach Store Managers, Cluster Managers, and Regional Managers to improve team performance.
- Monitor training effectiveness through KPIs, mystery audits, customer feedback, and sales performance.
- Drive succession planning and leadership development initiatives across the region.
Training Operations & Compliance
- Manage the regional training calendar and ensure timely execution of all learning programs.
- Standardize training processes and ensure compliance with company policies and retail SOPs.
- Track training completion, certifications, and maintain accurate training records.
- Prepare MIS reports and present learning insights to leadership.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with HR, Retail Operations, Category, and Business Leaders to address business training needs.
- Lead and mentor the regional L&D team to ensure consistent training delivery.
- Support new store launches by planning and executing pre-opening training programs.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives through continuous learning and development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Retail Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in retail training, sales capability development, and team management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and coaching abilities with experience in training effectiveness measurement.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital learning platforms.
