Retail Food Service Manager

We are looking for a Retail Manager to oversee the operations of our Findlay Market location. Maverick Chocolate is an Award Winning Chocolate Maker based in Cincinnati, OH. The Manager's responsibilities include retail sales role, customer service, opening and closing the store on a daily basis, coordinate with the other stores. To be successful in this role, you should be a customer focused leader with an understanding of restaurant and food service businesses. Most weekdays you will working alone and with one other person on weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help our company grow and thrive.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations
• Design strategy and set goals for growth
• Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
• Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
• Direct the employee assessment process
• Prepare regular reports for upper management
• Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
• Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
• Familiarity with local food operations, Findlay Market, urban markets.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Manager or similar Retail or Customer Service.
• Knowledge of business process and functions
• Ability to work unsupervised and/or alone
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• High School Graduate and/or College.

Restaurant or Food Service experience is required.
