Role Description The Restaurant Manager role at Tandoori tamasha is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, supervising service standards, and ensuring smooth guest service throughout each shift. The Restaurant Manager monitors food and beverage quality, coordinates with the kitchen and manages inventory and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels. The role includes handling guest feedback, resolving service issues, and implementing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and revenue performance. The Restaurant Manager is also responsible for training team members, enforcing health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Tandoori Tamashaa, a flagship dining destination under the Ilara Hotels and SPAs brand, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. With a focus on authentic Tandoor delicacies, we are looking for a professional who can combine culinary passion with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Develop and implement SOPs to maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef to ensure menu execution aligns with the brand’s vision and guest preferences.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team of service staff, chefs, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal manpower utilization.
- Guest Experience:
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure their dining experience exceeds expectations.
- Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Implement initiatives to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Sales and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns and events.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Upsell menu items and introduce seasonal or special offers to drive sales growth.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure profitability.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to optimize performance.
- Oversee inventory management, including procurement and stock control.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and labor regulations.
- Regularly review and update safety procedures to guarantee a secure working environment for all staff.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a fine-dining or specialty cuisine restaurant.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial management software.
