Bethesda North Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy team practices in a large, growing tertiary hospital and regional heart center licensed for approximately 397 beds. Our RTs deliver high‑acuity, autonomous respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including advanced ventilator management, intubation, and active involvement in cardiac surgery recovery, LVAD care, and ECMO ramping. Bethesda North is recognized regionally for excellence in cardiac care and holds Blue Distinction recognition for cardiac services; the campus also serves as the designated trauma center for northern Cincinnati, giving therapists broad exposure to complex, time‑sensitive cases and opportunities for clinical growth. We are a servant‑led, team-focused department that emphasizes professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical leadership.

Schedule: Optional, Rotates Weekends and Holidays

Job Overview

This position will provide respiratory care in all patient care settings. This position's Duties include, i.e. the administration of all respiratory care therapeutic modalities, management of mechanical ventilation, and the assessment of the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy administered REP. Additionally, these practitioners will assist in the clinical education of Respiratory Therapy Students and participate in such diagnostic activities as ABG procurement and analysis, bedside pulmonary function testing and hemodynamic and other noninvasive procedures.

Job Requirements

Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)

1 - 2 years experience in a related field (Required)

Knowledge of Advance Cardiopulmonary Physiology other sciences related to respiratory care and relevant Pharmacology

Basic Life Support (BLS) NBRC Registry or RRT Upon Hire Required

Other RCP - Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner Current Ohio licensure Upon Hire Required

Job Responsibilities

Performs all necessary documentation, updates work lists, and submits all charges by the end of the shift.

Performs ventilator management for neonates, adolescents and/or adults.

Manages the Respiratory Evaluation Protocol Program

May perform airway management/oxygen administration and O2 titration protocol.

Performs treatment and diagnostic modalities -HHN, P&PD, MDI, IPPB, ABGs, PEFR, EKG's, induced sputum - for neonates and adults.
