Role Description The Resident Medical Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Naugachhia, Bihar, responsible for providing continuous medical support within the hospital setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients, prescribing and administering treatment as per clinical protocols, and responding to emergencies in coordination with senior physicians. The role involves supporting surgical and procedural care by preparing patients, assisting as needed, and overseeing post-procedure monitoring and documentation. The Resident Medical Officer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, participate in clinical rounds, maintain accurate medical records, and contribute to patient education and safety initiatives. The position may also include involvement in training junior clinical staff and participating in quality improvement activities related to Smart ICU and hospital management systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine with appropriate medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and valid registration with the relevant medical council.
  • Demonstrated competence in Patient Care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring in acute and critical care settings.
  • Experience supporting Surgery and clinical procedures, including pre- and post-operative management and adherence to sterile and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, displaying clear communication and collaborative decision-making.
  • Experience in Training or mentoring junior medical staff, nurses, or clinical interns is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of hospital management systems, electronic medical records, and technology-enabled care workflows is desirable.
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts, manage emergency situations, and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
