Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients within the university hospital/healthcare facility.
• Diagnose illnesses, prescribe appropriate treatment, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide emergency care as required.
• Coordinate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management.
• Monitor admitted patients and ensure continuity of care.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and ethical medical practices.
• Participate in rotational duties, including night shifts, weekends, and emergency on-call services, as assigned.

Academic & Teaching Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and bedside clinical teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Guide students during clinical postings and practical sessions.
• Assist in curriculum delivery, assessment, and evaluation of students.
• Mentor students by fostering clinical reasoning, professionalism, and ethical medical practice.
• Participate in academic meetings, faculty development programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Support research activities, publications, and academic projects within the department.

Qualifications:

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
• MD in General Medicine or equivalent qualification.
• Valid medical license and registration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
