Job Purpose (1-2 Lines)

This position oversees one of the major technology platforms (pathology, digital pathology and IHC) and is into clinical biomarker assay development, validation and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in a team of pathologists, provide Clinical Pathology support to programs/projects at BBRC in close collaboration with the BMS pathology team.
• Responsible for the development of IHC/ISH assay development, qualification/validation and sample analysis.
• Works in close collaboration with the scientist/pathologists onsite to support translational pathology and immunohistochemistry workflows.
• Support ongoing translational R&D projects in collaboration with the hospital network.
• Undergo self-training and support the digital pathology workflow under the supervision of senior pathologists.
• Actively participate in SOP preparation and maintenance, also support, and periodically review Inventory management.
  
  

Educational Qualification and Experience: MBBS, MD/DNB Pathology. Relevant experience in histopathology/IHC, working in research settings, academia, and corporate (Hospitals/Pharma).

Technical/functional Skills: (Maximum 4-6 Points)

• Hands-on experience in pathology/IHC working in the hospital or corporate (pharma/technology) setting.
• Hands-on experience/ basic knowledge of IHC is required.
• Knowledge of Digital pathology is desired.
• Experience in oncology and/or other therapeutic areas along with handling clinical samples, and clinical programs is essential.
• Experience of working in a regulated laboratory setting (CAP/NABL or other GxP environment) is good to have.
  
  

Behavioral Skills

• Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments.
• Good oral and written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team
