Role Description This full-time, on-site Research Assistant role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The Research Assistant will support data-driven decision-making by collecting, organizing, and analyzing information related to nonprofit programs, community needs, and grant outcomes. Daily responsibilities include conducting literature and web-based research, preparing summaries and reports, assisting with data entry and quality checks, and supporting basic statistical analysis. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to clarify research requirements, contributing to the preparation of presentations and briefing documents, and maintaining organized records and documentation. The Research Assistant will collaborate with team members to ensure research outputs are accurate, timely, and useful for program evaluation and strategic planning.
Qualifications
  • Strong Research skills, including literature review, data collection, and synthesis of findings.
  • Analytical Skills and Data Analysis capabilities to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Relevant Laboratory Skills (if applicable to specific projects), such as sample handling, documentation, and adherence to protocols.
  • Proficiency with productivity and data tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with statistical software is an advantage).
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Public Policy, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced study or certification in research methods is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in nonprofit work, community development, or impact evaluation is beneficial.
