Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on?R&D Scientist?to support the establishment and day-to-day operations of Nemexi?s Research & Development function at our Boisar facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory-scale trials, validating excipient processes, maintaining documentation, and coordinating closely with our? technical consultants ?for process guidance and optimization. This is a core technical role within Nemexi?s growing excipient manufacturing business, offering significant learning and future leadership potential. Key Responsibilities Assist in setting up and maintaining the R&D laboratory, equipment, and documentation systems. Conduct hands-on bench-scale and pilot-scale experiments for process validation, crystallization, drying, and analytical development. Perform analytical testing using HPLC, FTIR, GC, UV-Vis, KF, and related techniques. Maintain accurate experimental records, validation data, and GMP-aligned documentation. Collaborate with external?Process Consultants?for process design, troubleshooting, and technology transfer activities. Supervise and train 1?3 junior scientists or chemists for laboratory operations. Support preparation of technical data for?pharmacopeial compliance (IP/BP/USP/EP)?and potential?DMF/CEP documentation?in the future. Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams during process scale-up and validation. Qualifications & Experience M.Sc. / M.Pharm. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. 5?7 years of experience?in R&D or process development within?pharmaceutical excipients,?API manufacturing, or?specialty chemicals. Strong hands-on experience with laboratory-scale synthesis, purification, crystallization, and drying processes. Proficiency in analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, FTIR, KF, UV-Vis). Experience in GMP and pharmacopeial documentation. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with senior technical consultants and management. Willingness to work?on-site at Boisar?and contribute to a startup environment with growing responsibilities.
