Research Analyst - Preowned Smartphone Service (Gurgaon, India) Counterpoint is a fast-growing global analyst firm. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Research Analyst to assist our Preowned Smartphone Service research efforts . Job Description: As a Research Analyst _ Preowned Smartphone Service , you will be developing and contributing original insights on preowned smartphone service studies of the tech markets. We expect you will make a significant contribution to the overall research of Counterpoint on a global basis as well as India. The role will involve: Manage and update Counterpoint?s proprietary databases, ensuring timely completion, accuracy, and consistency across all checkpoints. Conduct data cleaning, validation, tabulation, and analysis to support regular deliverables and ad-hoc research needs. Support the Counterpoint Market Monitor program by researching, interpreting, and recording relevant pre-owned market information. Analyze key drivers and trends in the pre-owned and refurbished smartphone ecosystem, including trade-in programs, refurbishes, marketplaces, distributors, and logistics partners. Develop clear storylines and structured insights for reports, presentations, and client deliverables. Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional research tasks and contribute to internal knowledge sharing. You will also assist in business development: Take the initiative in business development activities in India and Global (if required) including preparing press releases, sales presentations, delivering speeches at meetings and other activities that we have identified as business development. Visit clients/prospects to help identify and develop business opportunities. Build strong long-term relationships with clients. Key Skills/Experience Required: You are a Graduate / B-Tech / BE / MBA with 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to: Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and PowerPoint. The pre-owned or refurbished smartphone market, including supply chain, reverse logistics, grading, pricing, and ecosystem stakeholders. Strong understanding of smartphones, consumer electronics, and telecom technologies. Ability to analyze rapidly evolving market trends and articulate meaningful insights clearly and concisely. In addition, you can demonstrate the following: High discipline, self-motivation, and a passion for data interpretation and technology market analysis. Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability with close attention to detail and data accuracy. Knowledge of Python, SPSS, or survey-programming tools is a plus. Ability to bring innovative ideas beyond basic work requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as an individual contributor while collaborating effectively as part of a global team.
