About the Role
Asa RelationshipManager – NRI within the Retail Banking division, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial solutions tailored to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) customers. This role focuses on enhancing customer value through deep relationship management, strategic product offerings, and superior service delivery. You will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, while managing NTB (New-to-Bank) NRI clients for a designated branch. Your contributions will support the broader objectives of the branch banking channel.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Grow the liabilities portfolio by increasing account balances of existing NRI customers and improving profitability through a larger share of wallet.
- Monitor inflows and outflows in mapped NRI accounts and proactively track NRI visits to India.
- Establish strong customer connections via mailers and phone calls, sharing insights on interest rate changes, exchange rate fluctuations, and other product offerings.
- Generate new sales leads through referrals from existing clients, NR associations, Prominent stockbrokers, and expats from shipping companies.
- Drive customer engagement by cross-selling investment products (e.g., life insurance, general insurance, Mutual funds, PMS) and non-investment products (e.g., forex, remittances) to both new and existing customers.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
- Demonstrate strong sales planning capabilities and conceptualize promotional and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the banking industry, FEMA regulations related to NRI business, NRI customer behaviour, and financial markets.
- Work proactively with campaign data shared by the central team.

Education
- Graduation: Any discipline (Full-Time)
- Postgraduation: MBA / PGDM (Preferred)
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in branch banking
- Proven expertise in relationship management and customer engagement
- Strong understanding of NRI banking products and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FEMA)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and analytical ability
- Proficient in driving collaborative outcomes through strategic negotiation and conflict resolution
