We're working with a leading mechanical and engineering powerhouse that keeps the UK construction industry moving on this exciting opportunity.
As a Regional HR Advisor, you will take full ownership of employee relations and strategic operations across the North of England. This is a high-impact role where you will act as a trusted partner to managers, utilizing your expertise in coaching, mentoring, and complex ER casework to drive organizational excellence and workforce performance.

As a Regional HR Advisor, you will take full ownership of employee relations and strategic operations across the North of England. This is a high-impact role where you will act as a trusted partner to managers, utilizing your expertise in coaching, mentoring, and complex ER casework to drive organizational excellence and workforce performance.
The Role
- Lead on complex Employee Relations (ER) casework including disciplinary, grievance, and high-volume absenteeism management for both Short-Term (STS) and Long-Term Sickness (LTS).
- Act as a regional business partner, coaching and mentoring managers on HR best practices, statutory legal requirements, and payroll-impacting data accuracy.
- Drive the full employee lifecycle, from overseeing onboarding and training development plans to managing performance reviews and mid-probation follow-ups.
- Analyze HR metrics and statistical data points to provide actionable commercial insights to Regional HRBPs, supporting regional workforce planning.
- Champion HR innovation by developing and implementing local and national HR policies, ensuring 100% compliance with Data Protection and UK employment law.
- Professional HR Qualification: CIPD Level 5 certification is essential (or a degree-level equivalent in HR Management).
- Proven experience in a Regional HR Advisor or Generalist role, ideally within a fast-paced engineering, construction, or technical environment.
- Robust technical proficiency in HRIS databases and IT systems (Microsoft Office Suite, HR Portals, and Data Management tools).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver punchy HR presentations and briefings to diverse internal stakeholders.
- A proactive, mobile mindset: You must be comfortable with regional travel across the Northwest, Northeast, and Midlands to support on-site requirements.
- Competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum plus a dedicated regional car allowance for travel.
