The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Recruitment Onboarding Coordinator to join our Aerospace & Defence and Marine Trades Recruitment team at our HQ in Salford.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new starters and contractors. You’ll primarily support key clients while also assisting the wider recruitment team when needed.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process for new starters and contractors, ensuring all documentation, system updates, and checks are completed accurately and on time.
- Managing pre-employment and in-employment screening, ensuring compliance and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Acting as the first point of contact for candidates, contractors, clients, and internal teams, including handling payroll-related queries.
- Monitoring and managing shared inboxes, prioritising enquiries and responding within agreed service levels.
- Handling high volumes of cases and queries efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail and following established processes.
- Proactively chasing outstanding information, resolving queries, and escalating issues where required.
- Supporting key clients and the wider recruitment team during quieter periods to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and service standards.
About You
- Strong administrative experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Experience in recruitment administration, contractor care, onboarding, or pre-employment screening is desirable but not essential.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, SLA-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
- Confident managing multiple inboxes, enquiries, and workflows independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Comfortable handling payroll or onboarding-related queries.
- Friendly, collaborative, and team-oriented, with a positive approach to working with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with other systems or tools would be beneficial.
Please note that this role will be based onsite at our HQ in Salford for the initial training/probationary period, with the opportunity for hybrid work once up to speed.
