Job Description

The Technical Recruiter & HR Generalist role combines talent acquisition and on-site HR functions. About half the role involves sourcing and assessing technical candidates for Engineering, IT, Data, and Product teams, collaborating with recruiters and hiring managers. The other half covers HR generalist duties such as onboarding, documentation, employee relations, compliance, and coordinating on-site activities, ensuring effective recruitment and HR operations.

Responsibilities

Technical Sourcing (50%)

  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand technical roles, skill requirements, and hiring priorities.
  • Proactively source candidates for IT roles (engineering, infrastructure, cloud, data, security, etc.) using LinkedIn, job boards, Boolean searches, referrals, and niche platforms.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct initial outreach and candidate engagement via email, LinkedIn, and other sourcing tools.
  • Perform high-level screening to assess technical fit, experience, and interest.
  • Track sourcing activity and candidate data in the ATS.
  • Provide market insights on talent availability, skill trends, and competitor activity.
  • Represent the employer brand through professional and engaging outreach.
  • Stay informed on technology trends, emerging skill sets, and competitive hiring metrics.

HR Generalist Responsibilities (50%)

  • Support new hire onboarding, including documentation, orientation coordination, and first day logistics.
  • Assist with maintaining employee records, HR files, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as an on‑site HR point of contact for employee questions, basic employee relations matters, and policy guidance.
  • Support HR processes such as performance review cycles, engagement initiatives, and training coordination.
  • Assist with timekeeping, attendance tracking, and leave administration as needed.
  • Help coordinate office events, HR communications, and culture‑building activities.
  • Partner with HR leadership to ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support audits, reporting, and other administrative HR tasks.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting.
  • Experience supporting HR operations or generalist tasks preferred.
  • Strong experience with Boolean search strings and advanced sourcing techniques.
  • Familiarity with IT roles, technologies, and terminology.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and similar sourcing platforms.
  • Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems, preferably Oracle Recruitment Cloud.
  • Knowledge of compensation structures and competitive market trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR and TA teams.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities between sourcing and HR tasks.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive HR situations.

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands

  • In office environment, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Weekly virtual meetings with the US-based Talent Acquisition team.
  • Occasional support for on‑site HR events or activities.
