Job Title: R&D Engineer

Job Summary

John Bean Technologies Marel Corporation (JBTM) is seeking a talented and motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimisation of new processes, ensuring seamless integration from R&D to manufacturing. The R&D Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the scaling up of production while maintaining quality standards and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Develop and implement research and development plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
Conduct feasibility studies and process optimisation to ensure successful development and implementation of new processes.
Provide technical support during the scale-up of new processes, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the development process.
Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
Train and mentor production staff on new technologies and processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in research and development, process engineering, or manufacturing operations.
Strong understanding of R&D processes and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in data analysis and process optimisation tools.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing.
