Job Description
Position: Quick Commerce Operations & Planning Manager

Department: Sales – Quick Commerce

Role Purpose
The Quick Commerce Operations & Planning Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of all Quick Commerce accounts, ensuring best-in-class operational performance across inventory, replenishment planning, order fulfilment, catalog management, promotions, and cross-functional coordination.
The role acts as the operational backbone of the Quick Commerce business, enabling the Senior KAM to focus on commercial strategy, customer relationships, business development, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Planning & Availability
  • Monitor inventory across all Quick Commerce platforms and fulfilment centres.
  • Drive optimal stock availability while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.
  • Prepare rolling weekly demand and replenishment plans.
  • Coordinate replenishment with Supply Chain and warehouse teams.
  • Monitor inventory ageing and slow-moving SKUs.
  • Recommend inventory actions based on sales trends and upcoming promotions.

2. Order & Fulfilment Operations
  • Track purchase orders from receipt through fulfilment.
  • Coordinate timely dispatches with warehouse and logistics teams.
  • Resolve order discrepancies, cancellations, and fulfilment issues.
  • Monitor fill rate and OTIF performance.
  • Escalate operational risks before they impact customers.

3. Platform Operations
Manage the day-to-day operational relationship with Quick Commerce platforms including:
  • Blinkit
  • Zepto
  • Instamart
  • BB Now
Responsibilities include:
  • Inventory updates
  • Operational issue resolution
  • Store activation/deactivation
  • SLA tracking
  • Listing issues
  • Price updates
  • GRN Missing, GRN Pending
  • Payment Overdues
  • Escalations

4. Forecasting & Demand Planning
  • Develop weekly and monthly sales forecasts using historical data, seasonality, promotions, and launches.
  • Align demand forecasts with Supply Chain.
  • Track forecast accuracy and continuously improve planning assumptions.
  • Identify supply risks before they impact availability.

5. Promotion & Launch Readiness
  • Coordinate inventory readiness for promotions.
  • Ensure pricing and promotional mechanics are correctly executed.
  • Support new SKU launches across platforms.
  • Monitor promotional performance and post-campaign execution.

6. Catalog Management
  • Coordinate new SKU onboarding.
  • Ensure accurate product descriptions, images, attributes, and pricing.
  • Maintain catalog hygiene across all platforms.
  • Resolve listing and content-related issues.

7. Business Reporting & Analytics
Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards covering:
  • Sales performance
  • Fill rate
  • In-stock %
  • Inventory days
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Lost sales
  • Purchase order status
  • Top-performing SKUs
  • Slow-moving inventory
  • Promotional performance
Generate insights and recommend corrective actions to improve performance.

8. Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with:
  • Supply Chain
  • Warehouse
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Customer Service
  • Platform Operations Teams
Drive timely execution of all operational requirements.

Experience
  • 3–6 years of experience in E-commerce or Quick Commerce operations.
  • Experience working with Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, BB Now, or similar online retail platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in FMCG, food, personal care, consumer goods, or retail is desirable.
