We are hiring an experienced Quality Manager for our US Mortgage Underwriting process. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mortgage underwriting quality, auditing, compliance, and process improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of US Mortgage guidelines, and the ability to drive quality excellence across underwriting operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Quality Assurance activities for the US Mortgage Underwriting process.
  • Conduct quality audits of completed underwriting files to ensure adherence to investor and client guidelines.
  • Monitor underwriting decisions for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct calibration sessions with Operations, Clients, and Training teams.
  • Prepare quality dashboards, MIS reports, and performance scorecards.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to Underwriters and Team Leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo, Agency, and Client underwriting guidelines.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality scores and reduce defects.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team.

Required Experience

  • 8–12+ years of overall experience in the US Mortgage industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Manager, Assistant Quality Manager, or Quality Lead handling the US Mortgage Underwriting process.

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience in US Mortgage Underwriting Quality is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting quality standards and mortgage compliance.
  • Excellent auditing, analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling client audits and quality governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Candidates must be from a US Mortgage Underwriting background.
  • Experience with leading mortgage lenders or mortgage service providers will be an advantage.
  • Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to 30 days are highly preferred.

Compensation
