Quality Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1 year of experience to join our team working on solutions for a US-based client in the insurance industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and basic automation testing processes.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of software testing concepts, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with testing web applications. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and QA members in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

• Perform manual testing of web-based applications and assist in automation testing activities
• Understand business requirements and prepare clear and structured test cases
• Execute test cases, identify bugs, and report defects with proper documentation
• Work closely with development and product teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
• Assist in troubleshooting application issues and documenting findings
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM meetings and QA process improvements
• Maintain test reports and share testing status updates
• Support automation framework maintenance and execution
• Ensure applications meet both functional and usability requirements

• 1 year of experience in software testing (Manual + basic Automation)
• Understanding of web application testing and API/backend testing concepts
• Knowledge of writing test cases and executing test scenarios
• Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Postman, JIRA, TestNG, or similar
• Basic understanding of defect lifecycle and QA methodologies
• Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a remote/hybrid work environment

• Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation
• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification
• Exposure to insurance, fintech, or e-commerce projects
• Knowledge of performance or security testing tools like JMeter or OWASP

As part of the onboarding process, a background verification (BGV) will be conducted, including education verification, employment history, criminal records check, and reference verification.
