Job Description
Responsible for ensuring product quality in sheet metal fabrication processes by implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement quality control plans for sheet metal components.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Ensure compliance with customer drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Handle quality documentation (Inspection reports, PPAP, FAI, Control Plans, SOPs).
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor process quality in operations like:
- Laser cutting
- Bending
- Welding
- Painting / Powder coating
- Coordinate with production, design, and purchase teams for quality issues.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Maintain quality KPIs (Rejection rate, PPM, Rework, etc.).
- Ensure proper usage of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean).
- Strong knowledge in sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T.
- Experience in quality tools (7 QC tools, 8D, FMEA).
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001).
- Basic knowledge of welding quality standards.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years in sheet metal fabrication quality
- Experience in automotive / heavy fabrication industry
- Knowledge in SAP / ERP systems
- Immediate joiners preferred
