Role Description The Quality Control Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajkot. The Quality Control Chemist will perform routine and batch-wise testing of agrochemical products, intermediates, and raw materials to ensure they meet established quality and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting analytical tests, documenting results, and preparing test reports in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). The role involves calibrating instruments, maintaining laboratory records, supporting internal audits, and collaborating with production and R&D teams to address quality issues. The Quality Control Chemist will also help in continuous improvement of testing methods and adherence to safety and environmental guidelines in the laboratory.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Control skills, including understanding of quality standards, specification limits, and batch release criteria.
  • Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills, such as sample preparation, safe handling of chemicals, adherence to SOPs, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, including experience with titrations, chromatography, spectrophotometry, and data interpretation.
  • Candidates should possess competence in working with Laboratory Equipment and performing Calibration of instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Knowledge of agrochemicals or industrial chemicals testing will be an advantage.
  • Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and the ability to follow regulatory and safety guidelines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
