Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role:

We're looking for a QA Engineer who takes quality personally. You'll work closely with our engineering team to ensure our products are reliable, well-tested, and release-ready. This is a hands-on role that spans both automation and manual testing, and you'll have real ownership over quality processes, not just be a gatekeeper at the end of a pipeline.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks from the ground up and iterate on them as the product evolves

• Write, review, and improve automated test suites covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

• Manually test new features thoroughly before releases, including exploratory testing and edge case coverage

• Own the release sign-off process — be the last line of defense before something ships

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test runs are fast, reliable, and actionable

• Identify flaky tests, debug failures, and keep the test suite healthy over time

• Work with engineers to reproduce bugs, define acceptance criteria, and validate fixes

• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation — test plans, test cases, release checklists, and bug reports

• Contribute to improving QA processes and standards across the team

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a QA or SDET role with a mix of automation and manual testing

• Hands-on experience building or significantly contributing to automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or similar)

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating tests into them (GitHub Actions or similar)

• Experience testing modern web applications, including REST APIs and frontend interfaces

• Strong debugging skills and the ability to triage failures independently

• Comfort with JavaScript or TypeScript — our stack is primarily TypeScript/Node.js

• A methodical, documentation-first mindset

• Good communication skills — you'll be coordinating sign-offs and surfacing quality issues clearly Nice to Have

• Experience testing Next.js applications or SSR/SSG-based frontends

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and database-level testing (MongoDB)

• Exposure to performance or accessibility testing

• Experience working on multi-tenant or data-heavy application

Additional Details

• Work Location: Remote (India)
• Shift: Night shift aligned with US time zones
• Compensation: ₹8,00,000 – ₹15,00,000 per annum (based on experience)
