Quality Assurance Engineer

Lark Finserv is India's API-first credit infrastructure layer for wealth platforms — powering Loan Against Securities (LAS) and Loan Against Mutual Funds (LAMF) for MFDs, IFAs, wealth firms, and fintechs. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will own end-to-end quality across our lender API integrations, partner SDK flows, and customer journeys — ensuring zero-defect production experiences at scale.

AI-First is a Hard Requirement

You should already be using AI tools — Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalents — to write test scripts, triage bugs, and generate RCA summaries faster. We expect you to use AI to do the work of a 3-person QA team. This is not a nice-to-have.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Quality & Testing

Own end-to-end QA across all production environments — regression, functional, UAT, and smoke testing on every release cycle.

Lender API Performance Tracking

Monitor lender API health, latency, error rates, and availability. Build dashboards and alerts for real-time visibility across all integrated lender endpoints.

SDK & Partner Integration QA

Validate Lark SDK releases and test partner integrations across Lark Edge, Vault, Grid, and OS tiers on all supported platforms and environments.

Incident Management & Tracking

Own the incident log — detect, classify, escalate, and track production incidents through full resolution with complete documentation and stakeholder communication.

RCA & Error Management

Lead root cause analysis for every critical bug. Maintain error registries and drive systemic fixes to prevent recurrence. Own the post-mortem culture at Lark.

Cross-Team Coordination

Act as the technical bridge between lender engineering teams, Lark internal engineering, and business/ops to resolve bugs, align on timelines, and close issues fast.

Backend & Journey Testing

Continuously test backend services, end-to-end customer journeys, and critical loan disbursement and repayment flows across all partner configurations.

Customer Experience Monitoring

Track CX metrics across partner-facing and end-customer journeys. Flag degraded experiences before they reach escalation. Own CX quality dashboards.

Dropoff & Breakdown Tracking

Identify and quantify customer drop-offs, funnel breakdowns, and system failures. Surface actionable insights to product and business teams with data.

Business & Ops Collaboration

Work closely with business and operations teams to understand impact of technical issues, prioritise fixes by customer severity, and communicate resolution timelines.

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• 2–5 years of QA or SDET experience in a fintech, wealthtech, lending, or payments company
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Newman, or equivalent tooling
• Proficient in writing automated test scripts in Python, JavaScript, or any mainstream scripting language
• Strong understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and SDK testing methodologies
• Experience with incident tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, PagerDuty, or equivalent
• Ability to independently write and own RCA documents and post-mortems
• Comfortable working across engineering, product, and business stakeholders simultaneously
• Active daily user of AI tools for test generation, bug triage, or documentation

GOOD TO HAVE

• Prior exposure to LAS, LAMF, mutual fund platforms, or securities lending workflows
• Experience with load/stress testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust
• Familiarity with observability stacks — Datadog, Grafana, Sentry, or New Relic
• Basic SQL proficiency for backend data validation queries
• Exposure to white-label or multi-tenant SaaS integration testing
