Job Description

We are seeking an QA Engineer with expertise in backend testing and proficiency in Python and C++. While prior trading/HFT experience is a plus, the candidate must have a strong foundation in automation testing, APIs, and databases, and be eager to work on high-performance, business-critical systems. This role involves significant cross-team collaboration, requiring excellent collaboration skills and the ability to translate technical quality insights into business impact.

Key Responsibility

Design and implement automation test suites for backend systems, APIs, and databases.
Develop reusable automation frameworks using Python (PyTest, Requests) and C++ (gTest, Boost.Test).
Collaborate with development, product to define test requirements and acceptance criteria..
Perform database validations (SQL queries, consistency checks, trade/order data validation).
Participate in client discussions, providing clear test strategies, reporting defects, and aligning on quality expectations.
Drive cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth integration testing between trading engines, risk systems, and data pipelines.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated regression and smoke tests.
Support performance and load testing under real-world scenarios.

Required Skillset

Understanding of multi-threaded programming
Network and socket programming knowledge
Experience with inter process communication
Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player
High ownership mentality -proactively resolves team-impacting bugs regardless of code ownership
Self-driven problem solver who takes accountability for outcomes beyond their immediate scope
Results-oriented, with a strong focus on the designated KPIs that drives the annual appraisals
