Overview

Support the supply quality system process(es) and coordinates closely with business cross functional teams to identify, audit, qualify, monitor, communicate and develop suppliers utilizing statistical data and various continuous improvement processes such as lean, six sigma, and root cause analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to supports and develop key data in the risk analysis process of supplier onboarding and qualification. Familiar with and/or demonstrates ability to learn quality tools (e.g., problem solving and root cause analysis, lean and Sig Sigma) and utilizes those tools under direction of supervisor to resolve issues related to non-conformances.
  • Ability to attends, monitor and communicate clear and concise information from the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure that material is dispositioned appropriately and quickly for that specific site.
  • Ability, familiar and knowledge of statistical tools, their use and can work independently while being guided in learning quality statistical tools.
  • Familiar with scheduling tools and audit processes.
  • Can support audit process in the qualification, re-qualification and surveillance audits, to assure supplier compliance with TDW's quality requirements and to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to monitoring process and product improvement projects of quality programs and procedures for TDW's suppliers to validate the capability of supplier Quality Systems and to ensure data collection is structured, managed, and utilized to benefit TDW's quality system.
  • Ability to support and help supplier(s) in Root Cause Analysis, and Audit Non-Conformance Reports/Corrective Action Request activities to ensure timely administration and records.
  • Utilizes learned quality tools to demonstrate mastery and effective results.
  • Ability to supports the identification and resolves problems relating to the supplier quality and production control.

  • Ability to provides support and coordinates with cross functional teams to supplier issues and arrive at successful resolution.
  • Ability to provides support and coordinates with cross functional teams to support customer enquiries and to arrive to a satisfactory resolution to issues.

Experience

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Equivalent technical experience of 2 to4 years with an emphasis on Machining, welding, NDE, Plating or any Critical processes
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Experience with statistical PPAP, APQP, DOE, SPC, Regression and Theory of Constraints.
  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab, R or SAS

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Familiar with audit processes no certification requirements.
  • Familiar with six sigma processes; no certification requirements.
  • Familiar with Microsoft tools and ability to utilize them effectively.
  • Ability to travel (domestically), up to 60% of the time.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and multimedia communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create, develop, organize and utilize complex databases in a quality environment.
  • Thorough understanding of advanced statistics and their application in an industrial environment.
