QA Automation Engineer (Python / API Testing)
Location: India (Remote)
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of extension)
Salary: ₹10–12 LPA
Job Description
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join a major digital technology programme within a leading telecommunications organisation.
You will work in an Agile delivery team, collaborating with developers, business analysts and product owners to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automation test cases
- Work with developers and BAs to understand requirements and user stories
- Perform automation testing using Python frameworks
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews)
- Perform regression, integration and release testing
- Log and track defects using JIRA
Required Skills
- Experience in Software QA / Testing
- Experience with automation testing
- Knowledge of Python automation frameworks (PyTest preferred)
- Experience with API testing
- Familiarity with JIRA / Agile environments
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Cucumber BDD
- Git / GitLab
- ISTQB Certification
- Telecom domain exposure
