About The Role

The Civil Construction Quality Engineer at Zen Technologies Limited plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all construction activities meet the specified standards, codes, and client requirements. This position involves overseeing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and coordinating with various teams to maintain the integrity and safety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on quality management, documentation, and compliance. This role requires travel across different project sites throughout India, necessitating flexibility and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining the company's reputation for delivering defect-free, high-quality infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (BE), or Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil Engineering
• 3 to 10 years of experience in civil construction quality assurance and control
• Comprehensive knowledge of IS codes, ISO 9001 standards, drawings, and project specifications
• Willingness to travel extensively across various locations in India to oversee projects and conduct inspections
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and testing procedures
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret drawings and conduct detailed inspections effectively
  
  

Responsibilities

• Ensure all civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards to guarantee project integrity and safety.
• Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP), establishing clear quality objectives and procedures for each project phase.
• Develop and control Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists to streamline quality assurance processes.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements to facilitate audits and continuous improvement.
• Review and approve material submittals and test certificates, ensuring all materials meet IS, ASTM, and project-specific standards.
• Coordinate laboratory and field testing activities to verify material quality and construction compliance.
• Monitor the quality of earthwork, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, formwork, and other construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained during concreting, curing, masonry, plastering, and finishing works.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections and verifications as per checklists, addressing any deviations promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors to facilitate smooth inspection processes and approvals.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for deviations and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) closure to prevent rework and ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate effectively with construction, planning, procurement, and safety teams to ensure seamless project execution and quality compliance.
