Summary

QA Test Engineer is responsible for performing manual and/or automated testing to ensure software products in Sycamore meet regulatory and functional requirements. The role involves designing test cases, executing test plans, and documenting results. The role also demands gaining understanding of Sycamore products and clinical domain knowledge

Roles & Responsibilities

• Core Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases for software applications, encompassing functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Validate software compliance with industry regulations such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with development teams, services, and stakeholders to understand requirements, validate application functionality, and ensure product quality.
• Track and report defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or Bugzilla, and work closely with developers for resolution.
• Perform database integrity validation using SQL queries and conduct API testing with tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and execution logs.Implement and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines to facilitate timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Identify, prioritize, and report software defects using issue-tracking systems.

Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability and reliability of software releases and contribute to test coverage optimization.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

• Actively participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide feedback on testability, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in testing and test automation, proactively recommending process improvements and enhancements to the automation framework.
• Document test plans, test cases, and automation scripts, contributing to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Essential Experience

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Agile Testing and the full Testing Lifecycle.
• Experience with Test Management Tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or IBM Rational.
• Demonstrated experience in automated web application testing and API testing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Ruby).

Knowledge of test automation tools (Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress).Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, RestAssured).

Desired Experience
