Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate QA Automation Engineer who can design and build automation frameworks from scratch and contribute to both new and legacy product testing. This role goes beyond maintaining existing pipelines ideal candidates will be hands-on, innovative, and driven to improve quality through scalable automation solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks from scratch for web and API testing
  • Build robust test automation using Playwright (preferred) with TypeScript and/or Python
  • Work across new product development and legacy systems, ensuring consistent quality standards
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams in an Agile environment
  • Review requirements and define test strategy, test cases, and automation scope
  • Execute test plans, analyze results, and drive defect tracking and resolution
  • Continuously improve automation coverage and optimize execution time
  • Ensure quality gates are integrated within CI/CD pipelines (hands-on integration preferred, not just maintenance)
  • Advocate best practices in automation, testing strategy, and quality engineering
  • Stay updated on new tools, frameworks, and testing trends


Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of QA experience with strong focus on automation


Proficiency in:

  • TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Python


Hands-on experience with:

  • Playwright (highly preferred) or similar modern automation tools


Proven experience in:

  • Building automation frameworks from scratch (not just maintaining pipelines)
  • UI and API test automation


Strong understanding of:

  • Software testing lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • CI/CD concepts and integration
  • Experience working with modern tools (Git, Jira, etc.)


Good-to-Have

  • Experience working on legacy system modernization/testing
  • Exposure to databases (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Performance or security testing experience

What We’re NOT Looking For

  • Candidates who only maintain existing test suites/pipelines
  • Limited exposure to building scalable automation frameworks


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
