About Us:

Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.

As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.

About the Role:

Join Azista Space, a pioneering force transforming the future of space technology. As India's first private-sector satellite mass-production company, we're building cutting-edge satellite platforms that power next-generation space missions for global customers.

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer who is passionate about engineering excellence and committed to delivering mission-critical quality across the entire satellite lifecycle. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Design, Production, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) teams to ensure space-grade products meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and compliance.

If you're excited about working on advanced satellite systems, driving quality from concept to launch, and contributing to the future of space exploration, we'd love to hear from you.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust Quality Assurance (QA) plans, procedures, and inspection standards aligned with ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams during System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) to ensure quality is built into every design stage.
  • Perform network analysis, derating analysis, and worst-case analysis to identify potential electronic design failures and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Drive compliance across Design & Development, Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) of satellite subsystems and electronic hardware.
  • Conduct supplier and internal quality audits to ensure process adherence, product consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain end-to-end component traceability, configuration management, documentation control, and design version management.
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) studies and support reliability engineering initiatives.
  • Verify compliance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), Product Identification Documents (PID), Design Test Reports (DTR), and quality documentation.
  • Review and validate environmental qualification test results, including Thermal, Vibration, EMI/EMC, and Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) testing.
  • Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis (RCA), implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable, mission-ready satellite hardware for successful deployment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA/QC) within Aerospace, Space, Satellite, Defence, Electronics Manufacturing, or High-Reliability Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610, and quality management principles.
  • Hands-on experience with network analysis, derating analysis, worst-case analysis, and electronics quality validation.
  • Experience supporting satellite electronics, avionics, power electronics, on-board computer/control systems, RF systems, or payloads.
  • Practical knowledge of inspection tools, electronic test benches, environmental testing, and qualification processes.
  • Experience with configuration management, documentation control, traceability, and engineering change processes.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, FMECA, FTA, RBD, RCA, CAPA, and reliability engineering methodologies.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven aerospace environment with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with satellite subsystems such as Reaction Wheels, Battery Systems, EPS, CDH, PCU, RF Payloads, and Avionics.
  • Hands-on experience in Satellite Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) quality processes.
  • Knowledge of statistical quality control, reliability engineering, and quality metrics.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations, contamination control, and ESD-safe handling practices.
  • Certification or working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), or related quality standards.
  • Experience working in space, aerospace, defence, high-reliability electronics, or mission-critical manufacturing environments.
