Job Description

About The Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who can independently own test strategy, derive detailed test cases, and ensure high-quality product releases. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in functional testing, regression testing, API testing, SQL validations, and Agile delivery environments. Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Planning Own and drive test strategy, test plans, regression suites, and QA documentation. Analyze user stories, business requirements, and workflows to derive detailed test cases. Create and maintain comprehensive regression test suites for continuous releases. Functional & Regression Testing Perform functional testing, regression testing, and validation of workflows across web applications. Ensure overall product quality by detecting defects early and validating fixes in each release. Backend & API Validation Validate backend data using strong SQL queries. Perform API testing using Postman, including request/response validation, status codes, and payload testing. Defect Management Log, track, and triage defects using Jira. Work closely with developers to verify fixes and retest impacted areas. Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA teams, and UK-based stakeholders in Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Grooming, Retro). Provide QA insights and ensure seamless delivery within sprints. Version Control & QA Process Work with Git/Bitbucket for test script versioning and validation. Follow and contribute to SDLC/STLC best practices aligned with Agile methodology. Must-Have Skills 5?8 years of QA experience in Web and API testing. Strong SQL skills for backend data validation. Hands-on experience with Postman, Jira, and Git/Bitbucket. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile processes. Experience writing detailed test cases, test plans, and maintaining regression suites. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders. Good to Have Experience in automation (Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is a plus. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms.
