🚀 We're Hiring: QA Tester (Voice AI & Platform) — Audena AI

📍 Remote | Full-time

Reports to: Engineering Lead

About Audena AI

Audena AI is a multi-tenant voice AI platform. Our engine powers real-time, human-like phone conversations: an AI agent answers or places calls, understands the caller, pulls answers from a customer's data and documents, and takes actions—all with a target latency of under 800ms voice-to-voice.

Around the voice engine sits a CRM/admin platform where customers configure their AI agents, phone numbers, contacts, campaigns, integrations, and billing.

What You'll Do

You'll own the quality of a system that behaves in real time and talks to real people. That means testing far beyond clicking buttons.

  • Design and execute test plans for new features and releases across the voice engine, backend APIs, and the CRM frontend.
  • Test live voice call flows end-to-end by placing and receiving real calls through telephony providers (Twilio, Plivo, Vonage) and verifying:
  • AI responses
  • Tool/action execution
  • Barge-in (interrupting the AI)
  • Silence and timeout handling
  • Graceful failover when providers drop
  • Validate AI/LLM behavior across providers (Gemini, OpenAI, Qwen) to ensure:
  • Accurate and safe responses
  • Conversation context is preserved mid-call
  • Responses remain grounded in tenant data and documents
  • Verify multi-tenant isolation—a core product invariant. Ensure tenants can never access another tenant's data, phone numbers, contacts, secrets, or call records.
  • Test the CRM admin platform, including:
  • Agent configuration
  • Contacts
  • Campaigns
  • Phone number provisioning
  • Integrations (Shopify, Klaviyo, Webhooks)
  • Billing & Wallet
  • Authentication flows (Login, Google OAuth, Email OTP)
  • Perform API testing by validating:
  • REST endpoints
  • Request/response contracts
  • JWT/Bearer authentication
  • Permissions
  • Error handling
  • Edge cases
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports with:
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Expected vs. actual behavior
  • Logs
  • Audio/screen recordings where relevant
  • Perform regression testing before every release.
  • Collaborate with engineers on acceptance criteria, edge cases, root-cause analysis, and feature testability.
  • Help build automated test coverage over time, including API, integration, and frontend end-to-end testing.

What We're Looking For
Must Have
  • 2+ years of software QA/testing experience (manual testing with an interest in automation).
  • Strong understanding of QA fundamentals:
  • Test case design
  • Test planning
  • Exploratory testing
  • Regression testing
  • Bug lifecycle
  • Severity and priority triage
  • Experience testing web applications and REST APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman/Insomnia and browser developer tools.
  • Ability to understand JSON payloads and API contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a mindset for identifying edge cases and failure scenarios.
  • Strong written communication with clear, reproducible bug reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of product quality.

Nice to Have
  • Experience testing real-time audio, voice, telephony, or streaming systems (VoIP, IVR, WebRTC, Twilio, Plivo, Vonage).
  • Experience testing AI/LLM-powered products, including prompt behavior, hallucination checks, grounding, and RAG systems.
  • Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS applications and security/isolation testing.
  • Test automation experience using Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, Vitest, or API automation frameworks.
  • Ability to read Python and TypeScript/React code to identify likely sources of bugs.
  • Basic SQL/PostgreSQL knowledge for validating data.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS.
  • Performance and latency awareness—you understand why an extra 300ms matters in a live phone conversation.

Why This Role Is Interesting

You won't be testing another CRUD application.

You'll be testing a system that speaks in real time, routes calls across live phone networks and multiple AI models, and must never mix one customer's data with another's.

The bugs are unusual, the feedback loop is audible, and your work has a direct impact on the reliability of production AI systems.

How to Apply

Send us:

  1. Your resume.
  2. Your LinkedIn or portfolio (if available).
  3. A short note about the most interesting product or system you've tested—and why via [email protected].

If you're excited about testing cutting-edge Voice AI systems and building reliable real-time software, we'd love to hear from you.
