Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in the Telecommunications domain to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have experience testing web applications, APIs, and telecom solutions such as VoIP, SIP, CPaaS, UCaaS, or contact center platforms. The candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test cases.
  • Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and Sanity testing.
  • Test telecom applications involving Voice, SIP, DID, IVR, Call Routing, SMS, and related communication services.
  • Validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  • Execute manual test cases and document test results.
  • Identify, reproduce, and report software defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing before releases.
  • Work closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA reviews in an Agile environment.
  • Validate application performance, usability, and compatibility across browsers and devices.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining QA documentation, test plans, and test reports.
  • Support production deployments and perform post-release validation.
Required Skills
  • 1–2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Experience testing telecom or communication platforms.
  • Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of Manual Testing methodologies.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with SIP, VoIP, IVR, DID, Call Routing, or PBX systems.
  • Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect tracking tools.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
  • Familiarity with Linux commands and log analysis.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Understanding of Docker or Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience with WebSocket testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI.
  • Exposure to telecom protocols such as SIP, RTP, WebRTC, and SMPP is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
Good to Have
  • Experience working on CPaaS, UCaaS, Contact Center, or Telecom products.
  • Understanding of call flows and telecom troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
