Job Description

Role: QA Automation Tester

Experience: 3-5 yrs

Location: Chennai

Roles And Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for Salesforce front-end applications.
Validate UI behavior, workflows, integrations, and regression scenarios across Salesforce environments.
Create reusable automation frameworks, test data strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
Review business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases
Execute manual and automated testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, administrators, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
Participate in sprint ceremonies, test planning, backlog grooming, and release validation
Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
Prepare test summary reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness assessments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation best practices.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation.
Hands-on experience with Cypress for front-end/UI automation.
Experience testing Salesforce applications, portals, or Lightning-based interfaces.
Strong understanding of software testing concepts including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce Lightning, Experience Cloud, or custom Salesforce UI implementations.
Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
Experience integrating Cypress tests into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of page object models, test data management, and automation framework design.
Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
Exposure to performance, accessibility, or cross-browser testing practices.
