Job Summary

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in modern testing frameworks and tools. The role involves designing and executing automated test suites across web and API layers using JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright, and WebDriver IO. You will validate backend services with NodeJS, perform API testing with POSTMAN, and ensure robust test coverage through Mocha and Chai. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code, and experienced in version control and collaboration using Bitbucket and Git. This position requires a proactive approach to quality assurance, ensuring reliable, scalable, and high‑quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

Test Planning & Design: Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
Automation Development: Build and maintain automated test suites using JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright, and WebDriver IO.
API Testing: Design and execute automated API tests with POSTMAN, ensuring backend reliability.
Execution & Reporting: Run automated and manual tests, log defects, and provide clear reports on test results.
Regression & Integration Testing: Ensure new features don’t break existing functionality by maintaining regression test suites.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and improve quality.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into pipelines, ensuring continuous quality checks.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track issues through resolution using tools like Bitbucket/Git.
Test Framework Maintenance: Keep frameworks up to date with Mocha, Chai, and IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA/VS Code.
Quality Advocacy: Promote QA best practices, encourage test coverage, and contribute to overall product quality.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Hands‑on experience with Playwright and WebDriver IO for UI automation.
Solid understanding of NodeJS for backend validation and test harness development.
Experience with POSTMAN for API testing and automation.
Familiarity with Mocha and Chai for unit/integration testing.
Proficiency with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code.
Version control expertise with Bitbucket and Git.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
