We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Django, system architecture, database design, ETL pipelines , and strong data engineering skills . This is a hands-on role requiring ownership, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced product engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Build scalable backend services using Python, Django, and DRF. Own system design, architecture, and key technical decisions. Design relational databases and create optimized schemas. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data transformations, and complex data workflows (experience with any ETL orchestration framework; Airflow preferred ). Use Airflow or similar tools for orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring. Deploy and manage backend services on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred). Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews. Must-Have Skills 7?10 years of backend development experience. Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and REST APIs. Experience with system architecture & database modelling . Hands-on experience building ETL pipelines using medallion architecture, orchestration frameworks, and data processing tools ( preferably Airflow ). Strong data engineering skills ? data modelling, transformations, pipeline design, and data quality. Proficiency with PostgreSQL. Understanding of Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployments. Nice-to-Have Experience with Celery/RQ, Redis, microservices, or advanced data engineering workflows. Soft Skills Strong analytical and communication skills. High ownership, reliability, and ability to work independently.
