Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, SQL, and REST APIs, with experience working with Google APIs and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our backend services and systems. Key Responsibilities: Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Python. Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize performance. Database Management: Develop and manage SQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity. API Integration: Create and manage RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications and external services. Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, and well-documented. Google APIs & GCP: Utilize Google APIs to enhance application functionality and leverage GCP services for cloud-based solutions, including compute, storage, and database management. Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices and coding standards. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and issues. Continuously monitor and optimize system performance. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for backend systems, APIs, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding. Qualifications: Technical Skills: ○ Proficiency in Python for backend development. ○ Strong experience with SQL and relational databases. ○ Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. ○ Hands-on experience with Google APIs and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). ○ Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git. Experience: ○ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Python, SQL, and REST APIs. ○ Demonstrated experience working with Google APIs and GCP services. ○ Proven track record of delivering scalable and reliable backend systems. Soft Skills: ○ Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude. ○ Strong communication and collaboration abilities. ○ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
