Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems and applications that support the company’s digital platforms. The role involves building scalable services, integrating APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best development practices.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
• Ensure security and data protection best practices are implemented in all solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend development.
• Experience working with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar systems.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and coding standards.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable application design.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments.
