Python Engineer – Data Governance Platform (Collibra)

About the Role

Az-Tec Talent is recruiting a Python Engineer for a leading enterprise client operating a large-scale data governance platform.

The organisation has been running Collibra for approximately two years and is now entering a new phase focused on improving end-user adoption and strengthening integrations. The platform supports tens of thousands of registered users, with around 1,000 active users.

This is a highly hands-on technical role. You will be the primary technical engineer within a small, sprint-based team, collaborating closely with colleagues based in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will be split across two main areas:

Python Development & Integrations (Primary Focus)

• Develop and maintain integrations into the Collibra platform using Python and REST APIs
• Build and optimise ETL/data synchronisation processes
• Load and transform data from multiple internal systems
• Support scalable and secure data exchange between systems

Collibra Configuration & Workflow Support

• Configure workflows, scripts, and forms within Collibra
• Support process optimisation and user enablement
• Improve usability and governance structures within the platform

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to a PoC connecting on-premise systems to the cloud (edge scenarios).

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience as a Python Engineer
• Solid understanding of APIs, data integration, and ETL processes
• Exposure to or experience with Collibra (or similar data governance platforms)
• Ability to work independently as the main technical specialist
• Experience working in structured, enterprise environments
• Comfortable in sprint-based delivery models

The Environment

This is a stable, enterprise-oriented project with strong governance and clear structure. It is not a rapid start-up setting, but a mature environment where quality, reliability, and long-term sustainability are key.

On-site presence in Prague three days per week is required.
