Python Backend Developer

Job Description

Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python and FastAPI. Build well-structured, maintainable code with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability. Work with data pipelines and workflow engines (Airflow, NiFi, Prefect) to move, clean, and process data across systems. Integrate systems and services using AWS infrastructure (S3 Iceberg, DuckDB, PostgreSQL, Redis). Implement and manage data scraping, cleaning, and transformation pipelines (including bespoke data). Use Pydantic for data validation and schema design in Python applications. Work with the MCP server exposure, ensuring smooth integration for external tools or services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers (React), data. Requirements 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Core Python development. Strong experience with FastAPI and modern backend frameworks. Solid understanding of data pipelines, workflow orchestration (Airflow/NiFi/Prefect), and system integration. Practical knowledge of AWS ecosystem - S3 compute, and storage services. Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, DuckDB, or Iceberg. Familiarity with Pydantic for data validation. Working knowledge of data scraping and cleaning from diverse sources. Exposure to AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc. ) and understanding of AI concepts. Knowledge of AI models, cost-performance trade-offs, and deployment impacts. Experience with Redis for caching. Familiarity with the Fintech domain (or willingness to learn on the job).
