IIT Indore, India, invites applications for Project Research Scientist – IIT Indore from eligible and interested candidates.

About- Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-medical) in an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded research project entitled “Design and development of Internet of Medical Things and AI-based mental health alert system with smartphone application using Ear-Electroencephalogram waves and Photoplethysmography vital physiological measurements”.

Eligibility/Qualification–

First Class Post Graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with three years of relevant experience or Ph.D.

OR

Second Class Post Graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. and three years experience.

Advertisement for Project Research Scientist-II (Non-medical) position

Objectives Of The Projects

The main purpose of the project is to develop AI-based data-driven multimodal system for the classification of mental health disorders using ear-based electroencephalogram (ear-EEG) and vital physiological measurements with electronic health records. This project work requires knowledge of signal processing, machine learning, biomedical signal acquisition, internet of things (IoT), embedded system, programming (MATLAB, and Python etc.), and application development for smart devices. The project will be jointly investigated with Prof. Bhabesh Deka (Tezpur University, Assam) and Dr. Siddeswara Bargur Linganna (LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Assam).

Job Role And Skill Requirements

• Developing signal processing and machine learning algorithms
• MATLAB and Python programming
• Developing Internet-of-Things-based hardware for remote health monitoring
• Development of application for smart devices
  
  

Fellowship

Rs. 67000 p.m. + HRA (as per norms)

Appointment duration: 1 year (can be extendable up to three years subject to satisfactory performance).

Number of positions: 01.
