Designation : Project Manager ( Steel Structures )

The Project Manager (Steel Structures) will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of structural steel works for the premium Della Township project in Lonavala. This pivotal role bridges the gap between design, factory manufacturing, transport, and on-site erection. The ideal candidate will ensure that all heavy and light-gauge steel structures are fabricated to exact engineering standards and erected safely, on schedule, and within budget, matching Della’s signature benchmark of luxury and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing & Procurement Oversight
• Vendor Coordination: Manage and monitor external fabrication workshops to ensure steel components are manufactured precisely according to approved shop drawings.
• Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Enforce strict quality control protocols at the plant level, including welding inspections (NDT/UT), raw material verification, and surface treatment (anti-corrosion painting/galvanization).
• Supply Chain Logistics’: Coordinate the timely dispatch and logistical transit of heavy steel components from manufacturing units to the Lonavala project site to prevent any installation delays.
• Site Execution & Erection Management
• Erection Planning: Develop detailed, sequence-based erection methodologies, heavy lifting plans, and crane deployment strategies customized for Lonavala’s unique terrain.
• On-Site Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day on-site erection, alignment, bolting, and welding of structural steel framing.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate seamlessly with civil contractors, MEP teams, and architects to ensure perfect integration of steel structures with foundations and finishing elements.
• Project Controls & Planning
• Timeline Management: Maintain and track project master schedules (using MS Project or Primavera), identifying critical paths and implementing catch-up plans when necessary.
  
  

Job Expectations

• Budget Tracking: Manage cost controls for steel procurement, fabrication, and erection; verify contractor billing, measurement sheets (MB), and variations.
• Safety & Compliance
• HSE Leadership: Enforce zero-compromise safety protocols on-site, specifically focusing on working at heights, heavy rigging, and hot works.
• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all fabrication and erection works strictly comply with relevant Indian Standards (IS 800, IS 7205) and international building codes.
  
  

Role Requirements

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s in Construction Management is a plus.
• Experience: 8 to 12 years of core experience in structural steel projects, with at least 3–5 years acting as a Project Manager or Assistant PM.
• Industry Background: Proven track record in large-scale commercial developments, premium townships, industrial PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings), or high-rise steel structures.
