Project Manager – Ground Mount Solar EPC


Location: Gujarat / Project Sites (Travel Required)

Experience: 5–10 Years

Industry: Solar EPC / Renewable Energy

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Ground Mounted Solar to lead the execution of utility-scale and commercial ground-mounted solar projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project management, including planning, procurement coordination, construction supervision, commissioning, and handover.

The role requires strong technical understanding of solar EPC execution, electrical infrastructure, civil works, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
  • Manage end-to-end execution of ground-mounted solar projects from mobilization to commissioning.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, resource planning, and execution strategy.
  • Ensure project completion within time, cost, and quality targets.
Site Management
  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor civil works, structure installation, module mounting, cable laying, and electrical installation.
  • Ensure compliance with design drawings, engineering specifications, and safety standards.
Engineering Coordination
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams for:
  • Layout finalization
  • Cable routing
  • Inverter placement
  • Structure alignment
  • Resolve technical issues during installation.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with procurement team for timely supply of modules, inverters, structures, cables, and BOS materials.
  • Manage and monitor contractors and subcontractors.
Quality & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Implement HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings and progress reviews.
  • Provide weekly project updates and reporting.
Testing & Commissioning
  • Supervise electrical testing, inverter commissioning, and synchronization.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with DISCOM / utilities for grid connectivity.
  • Manage project documentation and final handover.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Ground Mounted Solar EPC Projects
  • Experience with HT/LT electrical systems
  • Understanding of module mounting structures and civil foundations
  • Familiarity with PVsyst layouts and solar plant design
  • Strong project scheduling and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and teams
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD (preferred)
Qualifications
  • B.Tech / BE in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy
  • 5–10 years experience in solar EPC projects
  • Experience handling 1MW+ ground mounted solar projects
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Client satisfaction and successful commissioning
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in utility-scale solar projects
  • Knowledge of seasonal tilt structures / trackers
  • Experience with 66kV / 33kV / 11kV evacuation systems
  • Experience working with Sungrow / Solis / Huawei inverters
