Job Description: Project Manager – Enterprise Software Implementation 

Experience: 1–2 Years 

Location: Chennai

Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to lead software implementation and enhancement projects across enterprise applications and digital solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects that support business operations, process optimization, and technology transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, consultants, developers, QA teams, and clients to ensure successful project execution within scope, timeline, and budget. The role requires strong project governance, risk management, stakeholder communication, and Agile or hybrid delivery capabilities.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in software project coordination who is ready to take ownership of project delivery and drive digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead end-to-end software implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects. 
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables. 
• Develop detailed project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery. 
• Manage project budgets, scope changes, and resource planning.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies. 

Agile & Governance Management

• Execute projects using Agile, Scrum,or hybrid methodologies. 
• Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable. 
• Monitor KPIs, project health metrics, and performance dashboards. 
• Ensure proper documentation including project charters, BRDs, risk registers, and status reports. 

Functional & Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, and support teams. 
• Oversee requirement gathering, process mapping, solution design, and implementation phases. 
• Supervise integrations, testing activities (SIT/UAT), deployment planning, and production rollout. 
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and software capabilities. 

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution. 
• Conduct project reviews, steering committee meetings, and progress updates. 
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. 
• Resolve escalations and ensure smooth communication across internal and external teams. 

Process Improvement & Delivery Excellence

• Continuously improve project management frameworks and delivery best practices. 
• Introduce tools, automation, and reporting mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency. 
• Ensure post-implementation review and stabilization support planning. 

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Project Management Skills

✔ 1–2 years of experience in software project management or enterprise application implementation. 

✔ Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project delivery processes. 

✔ Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycle: discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. 

✔ Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methodologies. 

✔ Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Trello, or similar platforms. 

✔ Familiarity with integrations, APIs, reporting systems, and deployment processes.

Functional & Business Understanding.

✔ Experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder coordination, and business process mapping. 

✔ Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. 

✔ Familiarity with operational workflows, reporting standards, and enterprise business processes.

Soft Skills

✔ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

✔ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

✔ Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external clients effectively. 

✔ Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

➕ Experience with enterprise platforms, SaaS applications, or business software solutions. 

➕ Scrum Master (CSM, PSM), PMP, or other project management certifications. 

➕ Experience handling integrations, APIs, or middleware platforms. 

➕ Exposure to industries such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Healthcare, or Retail. 

➕ Prior experience in customer-facing software delivery roles.
