Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager (SME) to oversee end-to-end delivery of fashion & apparel eCommerce projects. The PM will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining quality standards and aligning with business goals.

The role requires strong eCommerce experience (Magento preferred), omnichannel understanding, and experience managing technical and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of all milestones and releases.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams.
• Facilitate workshops, status meetings, and steering committee sessions.
• Ensure clear communication of project updates, risks, and decisions.
• Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead cross-functional teams: Magento architects, developers, QA, Product Owners, and designers.
• Promote Agile / Scrum practices across teams; conduct sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Resolve dependencies, blockers, and conflicts within the team.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers or coordinators if applicable.

Budget & Resource Management

• Track project budgets, resource utilization, and financials.
• Ensure optimal resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Work with leadership to plan capacity and scaling for large initiatives.

Risk & Quality Management

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained across all deliverables.
• Coordinate with QA teams to align testing cycles with delivery timelines.

Reporting & Metrics

• Maintain dashboards for project health, KPIs, timelines, and resource utilization.
• Provide executive reports highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement in project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills

• 8–12+ years of experience managing complex eCommerce or retail projects.
• Strong experience with Magento / Adobe Commerce projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional, multi-location teams.
• Strong experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Deep understanding of Magento 2 architecture, modules, extensions, APIs.
• Ability to review technical designs, validate feasibility, and guide architects/dev teams.
• Hands-on knowledge of integration with ERP, OMS, WMS, payment gateways, and loyalty systems.

Technical Expertise

• Familiarity with Magento architecture, extensions, and integrations.
• Understanding of omnichannel commerce flows (online + in-store).
• Awareness of AI / personalization features is a plus.

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in fashion & apparel eCommerce domain.
• Exposure to GCC / Middle East retail market projects.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications.
