JOB DESCRIPTION : PROJECT HEAD
Department: Projects / Operations
Location: Gudipalli/Andhra Pradesh
1. Role Overview
The Project Head will execute and head the project team in planning, execution, documentation, and coordination of project activities. A key part of the role includes liaison with government departments, regulatory bodies, and local authorities to facilitate project approvals, compliance, inspections, and documentation. The role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on exposure to project management and government interface processes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Project Coordination & Support
- Plan & executing project, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain project trackers, schedules, dashboards, and documentation.
- Support project meetings by preparing minutes, follow-up action points, and status reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments—engineering, procurement, finance, etc.—for smooth workflow.
- Monitor daily project progress and highlight delays or risks.
B. Liaison with Government Authorities
- Coordinate with various government departments such as Municipal Corporation, Pollution Control Board, Electricity Board, Public Works, Urban Development, Revenue Department, Licensing Authorities, etc., depending on project type.
- Assist in preparing, submitting, and tracking applications for approvals, permits, NOCs, licenses, and clearances.
- Follow up with government officials to ensure timely processing of files.
- Support in scheduling and facilitating site inspections and audits by government authorities.
- Maintain a database of all statutory requirements, compliance checkpoints, and submission timelines.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines and report deviations immediately.
C. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare project documents such as proposals, compliance reports, inspection reports, and checklists.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all communication with government agencies.
- Assist in drafting letters, official correspondence, and representation documents.
- Update project files and ensure version control for all statutory submissions.
- Participate in internal audits related to project compliance.
D. Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate effectively with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Support in organizing stakeholder meetings and preparing briefing materials.
- Ensure timely dissemination of project updates to all stakeholders.
E. Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on relevant government policies, regulations, and new compliance requirements.
- Analyse procedural steps and create process maps for approvals.
- Benchmark best practices for project execution and regulatory liaison.
3. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Management / Public Administration / Environmental Science / Urban Planning / or related field.
- With 12–18 year experience.
- Knowledge or interest in government regulations, public administration, or project execution preferred.
4. Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of project management tools (Excel, MS Project, or similar).
- Understanding of government approval procedures (preferred).
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
