Project Engineer

Gonvarri Solar Steel (GSS) is seeking to recruit a Project Engineer assigned to the Indian market.

The selected candidate shall have the ability to manage, from a technical standpoint—after a training period and with the support of the company’s headquarters located in Spain— projects in both phases: bidding and awarded projects during execution (delivery and construction).

1. RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Structural and foundation calculation for the various projects offered and/or supplied by GSS in India or neighboring countries. This will include:
• Analysis of client requirements and applicable specifications.
• Design and calculation of steel structures in accordance with the applicable regulations and/or project-specific requirements.
• Analysis of ground-related information, including geotechnical reports and pull-out test results.
• Preparation of the technical documentation required to secure contract awards and/or during project execution and the warranty period.
• Technical support during the tender, project, and warranty phases.
• Collaboration in the improvement and optimization of products developed by GSS.

1. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Structural, Civil, and/or Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of steel structure and foundation design and calculation.
• Advanced level of English, enabling fluent communication with the headquarters offices in Spain.
• Knowledge of structural regulations applicable in India.
• Knowledge of structural calculation software.
• At least 3 years of experience performing similar duties.
• Experience in the photovoltaic sector.

1. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in the preparation of structural drawings.
• Knowledge of topography and earthworks, enabling the assessment of project layouts.

1. IT SKILLS

• Microsoft Office package.
• Experience in the use of commercial structural analysis software (SAP2000 or similar).
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge (desirable) of
• AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Civil Engineering software such as Civil 3D or similar
• Software commonly used in the photovoltaic sector, such as PVCase
