Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Assistant located in Tamil Nadu, India. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the temporary post of Project Assistant to be engaged in the project titled “Enhancing Clean Water Accessibility through IoT-Driven Remote Management and Predictive Maintenance”, sanctioned by the Commissioner of Technical Education, Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, under Chief Minister’s Research Grant (CMRG 2025 – 26). The Project Assistant will be expected to assist with research, data analysis, report preparation, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management skills to ensure the smooth execution of tasks.
• Proficiency in research and data analysis, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of technical or scientific terms may be beneficial, depending on the project.
• Proficiency in computer applications and familiarity with relevant project management tools.
• Any of the following qualifications are preferred: B.E./B.Tech. in  ECE/  E&I/  ICE/ EEE/CSE/IT/Mechatronics/ and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Applied Electronics/Mechatronics/Process control and Instrumentation / Computer Science or M.Sc Electronics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

General Information:

1. GATE-qualified candidates are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates qualified in GATE. In the absence of suitable GATE-qualified candidates, non-GATE candidates will be considered.

2. The position is purely temporary for 6 months and may be extended for a maximum of 2 years based on performance.

3. Any claim concerning qualification & experience should have the necessary certification.

4. Project will be carried out at the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore- 641013

5. Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview through Email communication.

6. No TA/DA will be provided for the candidates called for the interview.

7. Availability: As this is an urgent requirement for the timely implementation of project milestones, candidates are expected to join immediately upon selection.
