Role: Program Manager (Aerospace OEM)

Role Summary

PMI is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and manage complex aerospace programs involving global OEM customers. The role owns end-to-end program delivery, customer relationship management, commercial compliance and cross-functional coordination, ensuring successful execution aligned with quality, cost and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities


Program & Delivery Management

  • Lead the end-to-end program lifecycle, from initiation through to delivery, for aerospace projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Define program scope, milestones and deliverables aligned with customer contracts.
  • Drive execution through cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.


Customer / OEM Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for aerospace OEM customers.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and sustain high customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular program reviews, status updates and governance meetings.
  • Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.


Commercial & Contract Management

  • Oversee contract execution, including pricing, cost control and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, SLA / KPI commitments and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and manage program risks — financial, contractual and delivery-related.


Cross-functional Leadership

  • Coordinate across engineering, production, procurement, quality and logistics teams.
  • Drive alignment between internal teams and external partners / suppliers.
  • Lead program planning, resource allocation and capacity management.


Risk & Quality Management

  • Implement proactive risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, NADCAP and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Drive continuous-improvement initiatives and root-cause analysis (RCA).


Reporting & Governance

  • Track program KPIs across cost, schedule, quality and delivery performance.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain program documentation, including program plans, status reports and change logs.


Required Qualifications:


Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or a related field).


Experience

  • 10–15years of experience in program / project management, preferably in aerospace or engineering services.
  • Proven experience managing aerospace OEM customers (Tier 1 / Tier 2 supplier experience accepted).
  • Experience handling complex engineering or manufacturing programs.


Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of the aerospace product lifecycle and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of standards such as AS9100 and FAA / EASA regulations.
  • Expertise in project-management tools (MS Project, Primavera or similar).
  • Familiarity with PLM / ERP systems (SAP, Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.)
